You’re one of the unlucky few standing between humanity and unspeakable - often unpronounceable - supernatural, alien, and interdimensional threats.<br/><br/>You’re a spy. Well, you are now, at least. Previously, you were someone who learned things humanity was not meant to know. Namely, that magic is real, it exists in the higher realms of mathematics, and it has some really messed up devotees. And if you know that much, then you’re not left with much of a choice — you work for the Laundry now. <br/><br/>If you’re familiar with Charles Stross’ award-winning The Laundry Files series or the first edition of the award-winning Laundry RPG, you know all this already and can skip to looking at the books, the new award-winning game system, or just go ahead and pick a pledge level already. Just remember that everything here has won awards, ok? Lots of them.<br/><br/>If you are new to the Laundry, you are in for a treat – read on for the primer. You should also bear in mind the awards thing.<br/><br/>New Operative Onboarding<br/><br/>There are things out there, in the weirder reaches of space-time, where reality is an optional extra. Horrible things, sometimes with actual tentacles. Al-Hazred glimpsed them, John Dee summoned them, HP Lovecraft wrote about them, and Alan Turing mapped the paths from our universe to theirs. It turns out that mathematics really is magic, or at least that aspects of it describe, enable and power magic. And computing power supercharges it.<br/><br/>The right calculation can call up entities from other, older universes, or invoke their powers. Invisibility? Easy! Binding lesser demons to your will? Trivial! Opening up the way for the Great Old Ones to come through and eat our brains? Unfortunately, much too easy.<br/><br/>That’s where the Laundry comes in. It’s a branch of the British secret service tasked with preventing alien gods from wiping out all life on Earth, with a policy focus on the United Kingdom. You work for the Laundry. The hours are long, the pay is bad, and the bureaucracy is stifling, but unfortunately, you know too much to really have a choice in the matter.<br/><br/>There are some upsides – you get to play with all sorts of magically enhanced tech, from necronom-iPhones loaded with cutting-edge occult apps to basilisk guns that [REDACTED]. Sung Rok and Wang Wei had come to check on Moo Young with the pretext they want to get along. The door was open so they came in. Soon they heard noise and hid. A man came in, searching for the lighter. They didn’t see the man’s face, but he seemed to have a broken arm. Of course Sung Rok didn’t tell the arm clue to Moo Young.<br/><br/>Moo Young:”Why did he took only the lighter? Is he someone from my past?”<br/><br/>The next day Sun Ji and Moo Young went to see again So Ri’s father. He may know who Moo Young is since Moo Young had a flash back of So Ri. But the father isn’t back yet. He will return in two days. So Moo Young and Sun Ji left. They stopped in a park to talk about So Ri’s father when they encountered Joon Woo and Tae Kyun. Happy to see Moo Young, Joon Woo insisted Moo Young to come to his birthday party later.<br/><br/>When they arrived at the party, Moo Young saw he wasn’t the only guest Joon Woo invited. Do Hyun was invited too. Both Moo Young and do Hyun brought Joon Woo the same cake…<br/><br/>Later everyone gave presents to Joon Woo. Before going there, Hyung Cheol went to the mountains and dug for a body he had buried. The body was nowhere.<br/><br/>Hyung Cheol knew Moo Young before. He goes crazy and furious. He asks Moo Young why Moo Young keeps looking into the kidnapping case with Sun Ji.<br/><br/>Hyung Cheol:”Do you find dead person’s too? Brother, are you going to keep pretending like you don’t know me?”<br/><br/>Hyung Cheol left as if nothing happened. Still he left a strange impression on Moo Young. So Moo Young paid Sung Rok and Wang Wei to follow Hyung Cheol. When he received the information about Hyung Cheol, Moo Young had another flashback. He knows Hyung Cheol’s house. He went there, he felt the same resin smell he had felt from Hyung Cheol before and from So Ri’s shoes.<br/><br/>Hyung Cheol arrived home. He wasn’t surprised to see Moo Young there. They can’t talk there. Hyung Cheol’s wife and mother are there too.<br/><br/>They went to the lake were they used to fish together. There Hyung Cheol said Moo Young is the one that kidnapped and killed So Ri. And then Moo Youg threw So Ri’s body in the reservoir.<br/><br/>Moo Young:”You kidnapped and murdered So Ri? Am I the one that kidnapped and murdered So Ri? I was the worst human!”<br/><br/>Of course it was all a lie. Hyung Cheol took advantage of the fact that Moo Young can’t remember anything and has mixed flashbacks and lied. Moo Young believed him.<br/><br/>Meantime Sun Ji went to see So Ri’s father. She was allowed to enter and was looking at So Ri’s picture. She sees a man’s hand behind")
