Some have sought clarification to be told by harbour staff that it is 20 minutes, whilst others insist that if your vehicle enters the car park for longer than 10 minutes, without purchasing a ticket, you will receive notice of a hefty fine in the post.<br/>“I have asked more than once for a simple answer to a simple question - how long is the ‘grace period’ the harbour has agreed with the parking company so we can all know if you have one minute to drop or collect someone for work or if you have five?” one local resident posted on Facebook.<br/>“What about guests driving to the marine centre to drop off their luggage when they check in. It’s sad really but the criminals have won.”<br/><br/>Other residents say the estate often organised community barbecues and street sales but that had all come to an end.<br/><br/>One said: “People just aren’t interested any more.<br/><br/>“I’ve tried to organise barbecues and this and that people just keep themselves to themselves now.<br/><br/>“I feel for one couple near me, they have two young children and they have to walk past a known drug den to take their kids to school.<br/><br/>“I can pick a druggie out really well. You just get used to it, it’s normal now.<br/><br/>“I’ve had plain clothed police officers sat in front of my drive, just watching them.<br/><br/>“I've seen armed police come and raid homes. It’s a weekly occurrence.<br/><br/>“These men just park outside across people’s driveways, they do their drug deals and go. They don’t care who they upset.
